Britain’s first food market in a train station opens at London’s St Pancras on 7th September. Open daily, the Sourced Market will bring the capital an exciting range of products, all of them fresh, seasonal, healthy and responsibly sourced.
International travellers and commuters can take their pick from fresh fruit and veg; carefully selected wines and beers; freshly baked breads; sustainably caught seafood; free-range meats; and much more

Exciting news for fans of fresh, seasonal produce: a brand new food market is opening at St Pancras International. The first market of its kind at a British train station, Sourced Market is working with small producers to offer sustainable foods in a vibrant market atmosphere.
Goodies on offer include artisan bread by Flour Power City, organic meat from Laverstoke Park Farm, sustainably caught fish from Jefferson’s in Cornwall, and locally roasted Monmouth coffee.

Sourced brings all the great attributes of farmers’ markets into the heart of the city. Located in the middle of St Pancras International, they are perfectly placed to provide London’s busy commuters with a convenient outlet from which to buy locally sourced, seasonal produce.
Shelves will be filled with a range of well-known products including Neal’s Yard cheese, Ginger Pig hams and Secrett’s farm fruit and veg. They’ll also have a regular calendar of tastings and foodie masterclasses, so it’s worth popping in to see what’s going on.

British Food Fortnight hosts a range of community events and in-store deals during the next two weeks, promoting local produce from Welsh lamb to Kentish cobnuts.
Wembley Stadium has a “Mash of the Day” menu, Grey Gables Hotel in BBC Radio 4’s The Archers is running “meet the farmer, cook the dish” sessions, and the Cabinet Office, the BBC, 150 YHA youth hostels and 70 Young’s pubs are putting on regional British menus (www.lovebritishfood.co.uk)
The restaurant at St Paul’s Cathedral is holding a Harvest Swap Shop this Sunday, where gardeners can exchange a shoe box of their seasonal efforts for a free tradional Sunday roast lunch.
The new Sourced Market at St Pancras station, London, showcases some of the best produce available in Britain; hams from Ginger Pig, fish from day boats landing at East Looe in Cornwall and Regent’s Park honey. Commuters can order online and pick up their goods on the way home.

RAIL FARE: rail travellers will be able to buy food from some of Britain’s best artisan producers alongside their season tickets after the opening of a daily market at St Pancras International this month. Sourced Market will sell cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy, freshly baked bread from Flour Power City and free-range meat from Laverstoke Park Farm, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, wet fish and speciality beers and wine.
